What
is Cigar Banner Exchange?
The Cigar Banner Exchange is a web site advertising network for Cigar
and cigar related web sites. Cigar Banner Exchange is a great way
to promote your Cigar web site and bring in traffic. It also offers
an opportunity for Cigar web sites of all sizes to advertise across
our network of member sites. Every member earns free advertising on
the network, but we also provide a host of advertising packages for
paying advertisers. Contact us for

What
does CBE hope to accomplish?
Our mission is to help Cigar owners to promote their web sites at
a low cost. Cigar Banner Exchange members show ads for other members
and paying sponsors, in return for advertising and a host of additional
services.
Is
the CBE really free?
Yes, the basic membership is FREE! There are also memberships for
advertisers that are not free, but allow you to get prioity weighting
and display your banner on other sites without displaying banners
on your own. If your interested in buying more exposures, see the
next question below.
Can
I purchase more exposures?
Yes, you can jump-start your Cigar web site banner advertising campaign
by purchasing credits for as little as $10. For sites
that are interested in bringing more traffic to their site but might
not want to display a banner on their site, we offer a host of other
advertising options.
How
do I earn credits?
Credits are obtained each time you display a CBE banner on your site.
After inserting the HTML code we give you into your web pages, you
gain 1/2 credit each time that banner is displayed. When you get one
full credit, your banner gets displayed on another member's site one
time. So... the busier your web site is, the more credits you'll get
and the more pages you put the HTML code on, the more credits you'll
earn!
WARNING:
Do not attempt to artificially INFLATE hits on your site. We have
a cheat-detection system that uses 3 different types of detection
to protect against cheating. Sites which exhibit an unusually high
increase in displays or click-throughs on their site will be suspended
pending further investigation. Please don't jeopardize your account
status by artificially inflating your hits.
I'm
new to ALL of this. Where should I start?
Read the FAQ’s and help files. Reading these files will greatly increase
your understanding of how the member section works. Once you've joined
the network go into the account manager and choose "Banner Management"
to upload your first banner. After you have uploaded a banner, choose
"Get HTML Code" and add the HTML to your site page(s). You'll
begin to earn credits for displaying banners, and those credits will
be used to show your banner on other Cigar web sites.
